VAULT
THE HEIST GAME
SUPPORT & HELP

About

VAULT is a code-cracking puzzle game for iPhone. Each level is a numeric vault combination of unique digits 0–9 — you have 10 attempts to crack it. Earn virtual gold (oz), unlock harder vaults, duel rival players online, and climb the global Game Center leaderboard.

Developer: T-Innovations · Platform: iOS 17+ · Price: Free, no in-app purchases, no ads.

How to play

Single-player heists

Ten levels of increasing difficulty, from a 1-digit piggy bank (PETTY THIEF) up to a 10-digit Federal Reserve vault (KINGPIN). After each guess you see feedback dots:

  • Green dot — right digit, right slot.
  • Gold dot — right digit, wrong slot.
  • Empty dot — that digit isn’t in the combo.

Crack a vault in 10 attempts or fewer to earn oz. First crack of a level pays full price; each replay pays one less, dropping to zero once mastered.

Duel mode

Tap the Duel mode card on the home screen to face a rival. Four sub-modes:

  • vs. Computer — practice against a bot in real time. No oz on the line.
  • Pass & play — two players, one device, take turns.
  • Round-by-round online — alternating turns with a real opponent, unlimited guesses. Most precise wins.
  • Sprint online — both players guess simultaneously, 10 guesses each. Fastest crack wins.

Online modes pay +5 oz to the winner and deduct −2 oz from the loser (balance never drops below zero).

Memory-aid tags

Press and hold any digit on the keypad to tag it green (“in the code”), red (“not in the code”), grey (“probably not”), or yellow (default / unknown). Tags are visual reminders only — they never change the game logic.

Online play & chat

Online Duel uses Apple Game Center for matchmaking, real-time data, and the global oz leaderboard. To play online you need:

  • An Apple ID with Game Center enabled (free, comes with every Apple ID).
  • A chosen display name in VAULT. You can change your name only once — choose carefully.
  • To be at least 13 years old (chat involves communication with strangers).

An optional text chat appears during each duel. Messages are sent device-to-device over Game Center’s data channel — they are not stored on any server. To leave a duel at any time, tap Forfeit (you’ll lose 2 oz). To block an abusive player, use iOS Settings → Game Center → Restrict Multiplayer / Friends.

Frequently asked

Is the “oz” currency real money?
No. “oz” is virtual gold inside the game. It has no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money, goods, or services. It exists only on your device.
I lost my progress after deleting the app. Can you restore it?
Single-player progress (oz balance, unlocked levels) is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes it, and we have no backup. Your Game Center leaderboard score is preserved by Apple, however.
Can I change my display name?
Yes, but only once. After your single allowed rename the name is locked permanently on that install. This rule exists to discourage impersonation and harassment between matches. Reinstalling the app does not reset the rename count.
I keep getting matched against bots / no one shows up.
VAULT uses Apple Game Center matchmaking. If no real opponent is available in your region within ~30 seconds, the match attempt may time out. Try again at a different time of day, or check that you’re signed into Game Center in iOS Settings.
Someone was abusive in chat. What can I do?
Tap Forfeit to leave the duel immediately. To block the offending player, go to iOS Settings → Game Center on your iPhone and report them through Apple’s tools. You can also email us at the address above with the offender’s Game Center alias and approximate date/time — we will pass severe reports to Apple.
Why does the Ranking screen show “Leaderboard not configured yet”?
This message appears when the Game Center leaderboard tied to VAULT hasn’t been provisioned or hasn’t received its first scores yet. It will populate automatically once players start logging wins.
Are there any ads or in-app purchases?
No. VAULT contains no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no in-app purchases. The game is fully free.
