VAULT (the “App”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles information across single-player and online multiplayer play. It mirrors, and is consistent with, the in-app privacy policy you can view by tapping the ⓘ info icon on the home screen.
In single-player, VAULT does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. The following is stored locally on your device only and is never sent to us or any third party:
You can clear most of this data at any time using Reset Progress on the in-app About screen, or by deleting the App from your device.
When you start an Online Duel, the following information is processed:
VAULT does not run any backend servers, analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers. All multiplayer traffic flows through Apple Game Center under Apple’s privacy terms.
Your total oz balance is automatically submitted to a global Game Center leaderboard so players can compare ranks. The leaderboard shows:
Apple processes leaderboard data per the Apple Privacy Policy. VAULT does not operate a separate leaderboard server. To opt out: sign out of Game Center in iOS Settings → Game Center, or disable Multiplayer/Friends in Screen Time. While signed out, you will not appear in the ranking and your local Ranking screen will be empty. Your single-player progress and oz balance on this device are unaffected.
Chat exists so opponents can taunt, congratulate, or coordinate during a match. By using chat you agree to follow Apple Game Center’s community standards. You must not send harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, discriminatory, threatening, or illegal content. We do not pre-moderate chat. If you receive abusive content:
We may revoke a player’s ability to use online features if we are notified of repeated, serious violations.
Online Duel mode and in-game chat are intended for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly enable chat for younger players. Parents can use Apple Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → Multiplayer Games / Adding Friends to disable Game Center features entirely on a child’s device, in which case Online Duel will be unavailable. Single-player gameplay remains suitable for all ages and collects no personal information. The App complies with applicable children’s-privacy laws including COPPA (US) and GDPR-K (EU).
To play online you must choose a display name. You may change your name once. After that, your name is locked for the lifetime of the install. This rule exists to prevent impersonation, harassment, and reputation laundering between matches.
We share nothing with third parties because we operate no backend. The only third party involved is Apple, which provides Game Center matchmaking and the real-time data channel under Apple’s own Privacy Policy.
VAULT does not use analytics, advertising identifiers, third-party SDKs, or any tracking technologies of its own. The Game Center identifier is used only for matchmaking and leaderboards within Apple’s ecosystem — we do not use it for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.
If we update this policy, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the App after a change is published constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
